Hello Pushpa,
SOI itself does not have the capability to monitor devices. SOI gets the information from Model Domain Repositories (MDR) like Spectrum, Unified Infrastructure Management, SCOM, APM, etc. The information is published into SOI via Connectors. If you want to publish device and alarm data into SOI only for test puposes you can use the Universal Connector on the SOI Manager to achieve this.

On the SOI Manager in the SOI_Home folder you have example xml files for universal connector
