02/08/2018 07:00:06 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Hi Everyone - We'll be starting in just a few minutes. Thanks!
02/08/2018 07:03:18 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Hi Everyone - We're going to start in just a minute. We are very light on CA folks as there's a large planning meeting many are in.
02/08/2018 07:04:46 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK we're going to go ahead and start and try and answer what we can:)
02/08/2018 07:05:56 AM from Nikki Dinda to Everyone: Hi, I'm new to a CMDB role in my organization. I have had to build relationships from server CIs to Application CIs. I've noticed that when a server is retired, the relationship still is showing in a visualizer view. How do I remove those old server relationships from showing in visualizer?
02/08/2018 07:09:01 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: @Nikki - we're seeing if we have an answer but might not have the resource on the call we need. If we don't come up with something and someone here doesn't know you might need to pose the question in the community:)
02/08/2018 07:09:15 AM from Nikki Dinda to Everyone: ok, thanks!
02/08/2018 07:10:03 AM from Joseph Leger to Everyone: Hello, in CA Service Management - 17.0 Upgrading to CA Service DeskManager 17.0.pdf on page 10, there is a statement about preparing a Microsoft SQL Server for up[grade to 17.0. It reads "the default database for the configured database User ID must be CA MDB." Does thta mean that "mdb" has to be renamed to "CA MDB" before upgrading to 17.0?
02/08/2018 07:11:53 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Nikki have you tried using grloader? although TEC603643 is not exact same scenario, it could give a hint (https://support.ca.com/us/knowledge-base-articles.TEC603643.html)
02/08/2018 07:13:42 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Joseph do you have a link on docops?
02/08/2018 07:13:54 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Joseph you would not have to rename the mdb
02/08/2018 07:14:16 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Joseph from which version are you upgrading from?
02/08/2018 07:15:04 AM from Joseph Leger to Everyone: from 14.1 CUM 2
02/08/2018 07:15:11 AM from Joseph Leger to Everyone: im searching for the link now
02/08/2018 07:15:40 AM from Joseph Leger to Everyone: so, I just point the default user to "mdb". correct?
02/08/2018 07:16:18 AM from Nikki Dinda to Everyone: @Karen thanks, i'll look into that. Haven't tried it. Given i'm so new, i don't have experience with grloader, that responsibility falls with another team. I'll check with them!
02/08/2018 07:17:06 AM from Nikki Dinda to Everyone: @Karen, got an error from the link saying the page isn't there
02/08/2018 07:18:30 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Joseph I think it means "the CA MDB" which is actually named "mdb" by default
02/08/2018 07:18:42 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: we can fix the doc, it seems misleading
02/08/2018 07:18:57 AM from Joseph Leger to Everyone: Understood. That's what I thought as well.Thank you.
02/08/2018 07:19:06 AM from Karen Matoke to Everyone: @Joseph your welcome
