    Dear All,

Thanks to all who have clarified the queries. Need further expert comments on this. We have CA Spectrum 10.2.1.
I am unable to find entry of 0x00010d35 in any file at this location <$SPECROOT>/SS/CSVendor/<developername>/  where developername is
the name of the company/vendor. I believe 0x00010d35 is meant for DEVICE HAS STOPPED RESPONDING TO POLLS.
I am searching for  the alertmap file which shows me entry for hexadecimal code mapped for below alarms:

    1) DEVICE HAS STOPPED RESPONDING TO POLLS
    2) MANAGEMENT AGENT LOST
    3) Chassis Down

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Regards,
    AK

    Hi Amit,

You will not find those Event Codes in the AlertMap files due those events are based on SNMP polling, not Trap.
Only Trap based events are found in the AlertMap files.

Thank Silvio for the information. I do understand that.

As we already know that Spectrum polls the device with SNMP &ICMP.
My query is how the status of device which is down in terms of SNMP &ICMP gets mapped to the 10d35 present in the EventDisp file.

Spectrum initiates the polling the device on 161/162 port and observes that device is not reachable using SNMP/ICMP both.
Spectrum just maps the polling response to 10d35 the EventDisp file.

Will spectrum do the same action for all the polling related entries present in the EventDisp file as well?

    Thanks.

As Silvia mentioned, only trap based events are available in AlertMap. 10d35 is based on the SNMP polls and it is available in only the EventDisp files.

If you are on Linux try the below command.

    find . -type f -exec grep -l "10d35" {} + | grep EventDisp

    Thanks Raj for the info.

Spectrum polls a device on 161/162 & finds that its not reachable on SNMP, parallel check for ICMP as well and found device not reachable.
Spectrum will map the poll response to 10d35 the EventDisp file. How will this happen?
Is my understanding correct?  Same will happen for all the poll related entries in EventDisp also ?

    Thanks.
