Hi,

 

Is the capability of CA Spectrum to integrate with other systems based on open standards? You have ServiceNow but considering BMC or other tools at customer.

My question is do we have any out of box integrations in CA Spectrum for ticketing tools like BMC Remedy etc as we have for Service now or we need to use SOAP API to do so?

BMC Remedy ITSM (On Premise ONLY) could be integrated with CA Spectrum, have a look at the below link:

As BMC Remedy ITSM (On Premise ONLY) is out of box integration from CA Spectrum 10.2.But what about other tools which don't have out of box integration with CA Spectrum.Do they have other alternative like using SOAP API or something like that.

You are welcome, true, for other tools that are not mentioned in the Integration Compatibility link, you may have to look at using other alternatives.

 

You could always post the question with regards to the other tool you are looking to integrate with CA Spectrum here in CA Spectrum Community, if someone has done it, they could guide you.

 

Secondly, you could also create an Idea here at CA Spectrum Community to provide Out of box integration support to the other tool, this is for the Project Management (PM) to have a look at. When you create an idea, and if it gets many up-votes, PM could look into it and who knows this may get incorporated in the newer releases of CA Spectrum . Therefore it is always worth to post an Idea.

Yes, you can do that either with Southbound Gateway. Either including a SNMP integration, XML one, CLI or CORBA. Read the entire chapter of the link I provided.
