How can we track the status of MCS profile deployments programmatically, and alert when profiles are not being successfully pushed?

    William,

Check out UMP > Unified Dashboards > CA Business Intelligence Dashboards > Monitoring Configuration Service.

I have UMP > Unified Dashboards > CA Business Intelligence Dashboards, but not Monitoring Configuration Service.  What package contains that dashboard, or is there an export file for it?

    uim_cabi_mcs_dashboards_pack ( 1.00 available in beta archive)

    https://docops.ca.com/uimp90beta/dashboards/ca-business-intelligence-dashboards/monitoring-configuration-service-dashboards-pre-release

Probably will be GA in upcoming UIM 9.0 release

I get 403 - Forbidden when I try to access that link, even though I am signed in to CA support

    William,

Sorry about that, I was looking at my uim 9.0 lab by mistake. In 9.0 there is a package uim_cabi_mcs_dashboards_pack that provides that functionality. That docops page is probably restricted to people on the beta, and the beta is over now. I emailed you a copy of the docs page. That package is on the support.nimsoft site under the archive beta section. However I can't test it in my 8.51 lab at this time, so if you are going to try it do it in your dev environment first.

I can confirm this works in version 8.5.1.

Drop the package onto your CABI robot and you can view the reports in CABI or you can create a menu page in UMP for the CABI portlet to select these dashboards

    There are two -

    • Monitor Configuration Devices Overview
    • Monitor Configuration Groups Overview

I would say these are almost essential to anyone using MCS.

    regards

I found them within CABI.....I guess I need to learn how to get CABI dashboards into UMP now.....

    top right - spanner icon,

    preferences,

dashboard path and select your dashboard.
