With SDM 14.1 new Product accesibility features was added, including CA Service Desk Manager Keyboard Shortcuts.

Product Accessibility Features - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

For our end users alt + number keystroke is affecting the use of the interface, can we deactivate this feature?

    Thanks for your comments

    Regards,

    JOHN

    Hello John,

Can you please log an issue with CA Support?

Please state the case exactly as you have done here, and mention DE27841.

This is resolved in the upcoming Cumulative Patch, and it may help you as well. But if you go through the case process the engineer can work out any differences in the scenario. Just make it clear what you're after.

DE27841 is specifically to get around this:

    - - -

We use ALT+153 combination to get the ‘Ö’. This does not work in version 14.1. When pressing ALT, it activates the menu items at the top of the screen (File, View, Search, etc.).

    - - -

But as above, please give a short business case of what you want and why, so that the engineer can be sure that it will be addressed or if it needs a new patch.

In the meantime, I don't know offhand of a way to knobble it in the product (There may be. . .  might be in Web Screen Painter??? In a file???). But you maybe best off with AutoHotKey or similar. See this article as an example:

How to Prevent the Windows Key, Alt+Tab, and Sticky Keys From Ruining Your Gaming

Found it with a search of "disable alt key" and there are likely to be other things as well that can work at the client level.

     Thanks, Kyle_R.
