  • 1.  Spaces added to resource URL after SPS upgrade

    Hi All,

     

    Just upgraded to SPS R12.52 SP1 CR04  and now a protected app is getting spaces inserted into the URL after a semicolon by SiteMinder.

     

    prior to upgrade, protected application URL was "/***/list/Product;jsessionid=MIQCO1qAKamuRDBPjb61g66v.abcdServer?wicket-crypt=74HGB4mqu8s"

     

    After upgrade URL is now

    "/***/Product;%20jsessionid=MIQCO1qAKamuRDBPjb61g66v.abcdServer?wicket-crypt=74HGB4mqu8s". Note space %20 after semicolon

     

    URL with %20 causes a 404 error since the page does not exist. Manually removing %20 from URL in the browser brings up the requested page. Subsequent requests do NOT get a space added to the URL.

     

    Is there any parameter/setting that can be used to resolve this issue ?

    Please help me to sort this issue. thanks in advance.

    Hi Prashant,

     

    That looks a bit odd. Did you capture header trace log and SPS agent log? What is the web server involved? Do you have any proxy rule configured for the protected resource?

    Thanks Kar for your reply, however we openned CA support case # 00208667 for it and they said that this is bug in R12.52 SP1 CR04 and they were able to re-produce this issue in their lab, they also found this issue is not present in R12.52 SP1 CR05 so recommended us to upgrade to CR05, which I did in QA and after upgrade issue got fixed.
