  • 1.  Add a new tab on subobject edit view

    Hi everyone,

I would like to add a new tab that will contain the portlet on the edit page of the task object. CA PPM allows us to add a new tab to the idea object or project object. But I couldn't find a way to do this in a subobject (task). Do you have any idea how to do that?

    Hi Ferhat,

I got your point. No, you will not be able to add a new tab like you mentioned. For Tasks you cannot add a new tab and add a content over there because, unlike Ideas and Projects, Tasks do not use any Project Default Layout or Program Default Layout pages for showing up the Properties page. Hope you can understand.

    Thanks.

    Hi Abhisek ,

thanks for your reply. I know this but I was looking for any other alternative way to figure it out. Some custom configurations maybe.

    Hi Ferhat,

I do not think there is. I have not seen adding a custom tab in the Task object. Yes, you can create a subpage but there you are not allowed to add any portlet.

What you can do is put a URL field in the edit properties page which takes you to the portlet page.
