ETC stil showing on the project although ETCs from task are removed

  • 1.  ETC stil showing on the project although ETCs from task are removed

Weird issue - ETC stil showing on the project although ETCs from task are removed. Have checked the hierarchy for any child projects, but, could find none - Any clue as to what we can look for?

    Regards

Is there ETC on team members and is there ETC on effort task?

Could there be ETC in periods not visible in the UI?  We have got one case where the ETC related back to Aug-2016, and the UI didn't allow the PM to navigate back or show this outstanding ETC.

Can't recall if the 'Update Aggregated Data' job updates the ETC on the project, so this may be not required, but is this running?

"Is there ETC on team members and is there ETC on effort task?" - No

"Can't recall if the 'Update Aggregated Data' job updates the ETC on the project, so this may be not required, but is this running?" - Yes

Are there any deleted tasks in the project?

Is that real ETC or proposed ETC?

In which screens and fields do you see the ETC?

Do you see anything more informative if you open the project in OWB and have all possible ETC fields displayed?

Which db fields have the ETC?

I am looking at the ETC on the project list page

On the team tab (even after I do show all), it shows 0

On the task assignments page, 0 on every page

@ urmas - You are THE OWB KING - Where can I check in OWB?

Project List values come from denormalized information at project level - "Investment Allocation" job?

Is that not calculated on the fly?

Yes, I ran that, but the result is the same

There might be some hidden ETCs that I am unable to see

Can't you just query the database to "find" them? (like urmas suggested above)

Don't have access to the db

Trying to find a way to check from the application itself

Have access to studio?  Create a lookup containing the SQL and preview it.

Ok, so now the issue is resolved

Ran the "Update Earned Value Totals" job, followed by "Investment Allocation" - ETC on the Projects List page is 0

    Hi,
I have a same problem. We are not able to delete the ETC from Project and there is nowhere ETC left.
    I ran below jobs:
    "Update Aggregated Data"
"Update Earned Value Totals" job, followed by "Investment Allocation"

Have you run Time Slicing and the Investment Allocation jobs?
The 2nd job updates the scalar values at the project level.

    Thank you for your response.

    Those are scheduled jobs.

    Time slicing is every 5mins.

XOG out the project using the 'project' XOG that includes ETC.
This will reveal the date segments of the errant ETC.
If it is orphaned, you might need to log a support case to get it corrected.

Ok, I will try to take it out through XOG.

I will get back to you...

    Thank you!
