    Hi Pablo,

For SaaS customers, you can raise a support case with ca and they should be able to backup the instance and store for a period of time (like 90 or 120 days).

Alternatively, if you are looking to extract specific projects or ideas from the instance you can rely on using XOG. More details on how to use XOG are in this https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-5-1/en/reference/xml-open-gateway-xog-development .

We have developed a couple of back-up scripts to pull out data like 'tasks', in the event a PM comes to the PMO Group indicating they have completed destroyed their schedule, and does the PMO Group have a 'back-up'.  We can then provide them a spreadsheet of task data of what it was the previous day.

What your client is asking for is migration scripts for all aspects of PPM, in the event, they 'terminate' services.  Sure, they could be build now, and maintained going forward when different versions of PPM are provided, attempting to guess what the replacement application data requirements are.  Or alternatively, they wait until the decision to terminate services is made, and they know what the data requirement is for migrate the data.

Hi there, thanks for the replies ando response, we open a case on CA, and we get this response:

"We do not provide DB dumps to the customers unless you are moving out or your contract expires."

actually this is our case, the client is evaluating the contract, so we can do some xog estraction but dont know if its the best option.

    cheers!!

    Hi,

You will use "Export to CSV" or "Export to Excel" functions of portlets to download data from PPM.

I think that you are able to create a new portlet of investment which is including required columns by your client.

And you will use export functions to download investments data.
