  • 1.  Tuesday Tip - Where is Designer in CABI 4.x ?

    Hi everyone,

     

    A quick tip that could save a few minutes of searching for anyone who is new to CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.x release.

     

    - Designer in CABI 3.x is now called Universe Design Tool in CABI 4.x.

    - It is installed when CABI 4.x Client Tool Components are installed. It is a separate installation that needs to be done after the CABI Server install, and is not part of the CABI Server installation like in the older releases.

    Great starting point to share some news on CABI 4.x which is provided with CASM 14.1.

    While "Universe Designer" name was changed to "Universe Design Tool", make sure to check out the new "Information Design Tool".

    Your existing Universes will be converted into the new format and you will find additional value with several advanced capabilites like multisource-enablement .

    As a friendly reminder to everyone, CABI 4.x is certified with and will only work with CA SDM 14.1.

     

    CABI 3.x still needs to be used for CA SDM 12.x versions
