Encryption technology being used in 3.4.X

Hi Team,

Can you please help me with Document/link which talk about the encryption technology used in PAM 3.4.x to
1) Store the passwords in database.
2) Transmit the password to A2A client.
3) Encryption technology used for protecting database backup file. OR how is database backup file encrypted.

PAM uses a Triple DES encryption algorithm for database backup files.
