  • 1.  Free eLearning Credits for Support Maintenance contracts will be discontinued as of March 31

    Posted Jan 02, 2018 12:03 PM
Our eLearning courses are moving in to CA's education system for customers starting April 1.  As part of the integration effort, our processes and procedures must match theirs.  Since CA has no "credit" system for Support Maintenance contracts, customers will no longer be able to request using annual credits after March 31, 2018.

    What this means for you:
    1. You don't have to complete the course before March 31! Just request it!
    2. If you request eLearningbefore the of the day on March 31, 2018, you will be able to access the coursethroughMarch 31,2019(afull year, as we have always stated)
    3. Requests on (or after) April 1, 2018 will go into CA's Learning Management System (LMS) and will follow their pricing model.  The name of the content will be referred to as "Web-Based Training" (WBT) as opposed to "eLearning"
    4. All of your historical WBT recordswill be moved over to CA's LMS.  https://www.ca.com/us/education-training.html?intcmp=headernav If you have passed courses and exams using automic.netexam.com the record of those completed courses will show up, butyou will no longer have access to retake them.
    5. All new WBT content will be releasedexclusively into CA's LMS.  You will be able to find it using the keywords "Automic Workload Automation" or "Automic Release Automation"
SO! Please request your credits before March 31 to get full-value on your free education!

If you have purchased eLearning credits separately from your Support Maintenance contracts, these will be handled differently.

Thanks for the warning. How can we see how many credits we have remaining?

This change appears to constitute a decline in the value of the Gold and Platinum support contracts. Will something be added to compensate for this loss? Will the prices go down?

Starting in April 2018, Automic support will be adopting the CA Technologies support programs. https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/support-programs.html?intcmp=headernav

If you are a Gold or Platinum customer please request from your TAM to speak to the regional support manager to get details on how this change will impact you. Public announcements will be coming in February.

    Hi Timothy_Dodd_84
    Hi Ben_Caffell_45

At least in Germany, unilateral modifications to contracts. like the Gold and Platinum support contracts, are invalid...
