  • 1.  Help to Install agents in a cluster

    Posted Jun 26, 2019 07:44 PM
    Hi team
    Could you please help me
    I'm trying to configure agents on a windows cluster
    I have CAWA DE R12 SP1 - Windows Server 2012
    Would this be a good configuration?

    I install in each node the agent and add "communication.alias_1 = SCD201100"

    Server 1
    #
    # Agent name
    #
    agentname=SCD201100N1

    #
    # Communications
    #
    communication.inputport=7520
    communication.alias_1=SCD201100
    communication.managerid_1=CENTRAL_MANAGER
    communication.manageraddress_1=SCA2011145
    communication.managerport_1=7507
    communication.monitorobject_1=SCD201100N1/AGENTMON1.0/MAIN

    Server 2
    #
    # Agent name
    #
    agentname=SCD201100N2

    #
    # Communications
    #
    communication.inputport=7520
    communication.alias_1=SCD201100
    communication.managerid_1=CENTRAL_MANAGER
    communication.manageraddress_1=SCA2011145
    communication.managerport_1=7507
    communication.monitorobject_1=SCD201100N2/AGENTMON1.0/MAIN

    Would this be a good configuration?

    thanks

    Hi,

    Can you please look at the following documentation which talks about configuring agent for clustered environments.
    Hope it helps!

    Configure Agent Aliases for Clustered Environments - CA Workload Automation System Agent - 11.4 - CA Technologies Documentationhttps://docops.ca.com/ca-workload-automation-system-agent/11-4/en/administrating/configure-the-agent/configure-agent-aliases-for-clustered-environments

    Hi, could you help me?

    I have not yet been able to activate an agent in a cluster.

    How do you register an agent to point a cluster?

    Servidor 1

    agentname=SCD201100N1

    Communication.alias_1=SCD201100

    Persistence.coldstart=FALSE

    Servidor 2

    agentname=SCD201100N2

    Communication.alias_1=SCD201100

    Persistence.coldstart=FALSE

    How do you register the agent for an alias called SCD201100?

    Hello,
    You add 'SCD201100' as an agent to the manager.  You specify address of cluster (not agents), specify same port as agents (SCD201100N1 and SCD201100N2), same key as agents (SCD201100N1).    All traffic for manager has to be handled by cluster to direct to your agents, you will need to discuss that with your cluster manager admin.

    Thanks,
    Nitin Pande
