We've noticed daily engine dumps from 12.0 and onwards too.
Since we were also accustomed to engine dumps being rare and symptom of some serious issue with previous versions, we used to file tickets for those dumps arround the time we phased in 12.0. However, we quickly resigned to not pursuing these because often times we were told that the error messages in the dumps are benign.
We have since started merely cataloging the messages from the dumps so we can quickly look up whether it's a known one or a new one, and we are ignoring dumps these days for the most part.
I have mentioned this shortcoming in various spots. Alas, as of yet, no dice.
Best regards,
Carsten

Subject: Automic v 12.2.3 hf1. trace dumps/log files
Hello everyone,
We have had an issue with V12.2.3.hf1 where it gets into a situation where we are constantly creating trace dumps/log files. We were on V12.2.0.hf2 and got into that same situation with trace dumps and were told to migrate to where we are today V12.2.3.hf1. We are now seeing those same type of trace dumps on that version I am a little worried that is a "norm" running V12 on Linux. Is there is no other way to get these dumps to stop other than an upgrade?
