  • 1.  regarding QOS_INTERFACE_UTILIZATIONIN value greater than 100 in cauim tool

    Hi Team,

We noticed that in our environment, alert got triggered on the metric QOS_INTERFACE_UTILIZATIONIN and the value was 132.3.
We noticed in the template that the units for the metric is as pct. Hence wanted to know the below points:
    1. Does PCT means percentage?
    2. Why it is more than 100? if the units are percentage, it should be below hundred.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards,
    Deekshitha.

Whenever I run into something strange like this I check the value with a 3rd Party tool. If an OS/cdm probe then with the OS tool, Perfmon, Liniux ifstat, iftop. If 3rd party tool shows the same, them look for a vendor patch or explanation, if not maybe open a support issue.

This product reports as per the metrics collected, unlike some other products that cap it at 100%.
    is it a physical interface?
Is it using a 32 or 64 bit counter?
    Is snmp v1 being used?
