    Hello there,

We have a project requirement to support password policy for client who is using FTP, SFTP. Does SiteMinder support or any other solution?

    thanks

    Pack

SiteMinder OOB does not support FTP and SFTP.

However Layer7 does support both inbound and outbound SFTP / SCP access. Refer https://docops.ca.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=234759099

Incase of the inbound call, there is an opportunity to tie the authentication from Layer7 to SiteMinder. As we know Layer7 can make a connection to SiteMinder to authenticate a set of credentials. The piece that I am unsure is as part of Method-1 : Password Authentication, could we switch to the mode where Layer7 makes an Authenticate call to SiteMinder. This needs to be POC'ed.

    Hope this 1 cent helps!

    Regards

    Hubert

Hi, Please check with your CA Account Manager on this.

SiteMinder integrates to Web Servers and App Servers, not FTP server.

But because of the same reason I did see there was a custom FTP server having custom agent on it.

It was developed by CA Solutions Team.
