  • 1.  Does Java comes bundled in the devtest application installation.

Our Organization is doing a research on servers/applications using Oracle Java due to the changes to the Java licensing.

We want to know which of the Devtest servers use Java to run the application or to run something else? We need to know even if java comes bundled in the application installation.

    Hi Sai
All the components (services) of Devtest use Java/JRE as well as Workstation. Devtest comes with bundled JRE which can be found at LISA_HOME/jre folder.

    HI Sai
By default all Devtest services use the Bundled JRE if you have not chosen to use a different JRE.

In addition to what Sankar mentioned here it is more documented information on the usage of Java in SV.

In addition based on customer requests, the plan moving forward with the next release of the product is to support OpenJDK - again that down the line more towards early next year.
