  • 1.  Table UC_HTYP was modified inadmissibly

    Posted Jun 10, 2021 07:17 PM
Due to my DB maintenance suddenly beginning to fail, support advised that I execute an initial load, which I just did. Now, NONE of my agents will connect, except the DB_SERVICE agent.

They are all reporting "Table UC_HTYP was modified inadmissibly - please contact Automic Support" and now I'm hung.

Since my support ticket is in the queue of someone who I assume works during the day, I'm curious if anyone will see this tonight and know the answer.

    Hello Michelle,

many years ago I was provided with an update of the HTYP table by the support.
This was then imported via UCYBDBLDG.
This loads and replaces the tables UC_HTYP and UC_TABLE.

    I hope this information helps.

    Greetings Ralf

    Hi,

When Initialdata is loaded, several tables are updated. UC_TABLE and UC_HTYP are important for Agent onboarding, if there is an issue, Agents will not connect.

Maybe something went wrong during the load?

Normally it should look like this example (version 12.3):

    20201115/081926.035 - U00038042 Loading Initialdata ...
    0201115/081946.803 - U00021103 Table UC_TABLE was exported on: 2020-06-12 17:52:39.127
    20201115/081947.116 - U00021104 ' 243' records loaded in table 'UC_TABLE'.
    ...
    20201115/081950.156 - U00021103 Table UC_HTYP was exported on: 2020-06-12 17:52:39.247
    20201115/081950.200 - U00021104 ' 43' records loaded in table 'UC_HTYP'.
    ...

Does the DB Load Log look similar?

Is it the same version, which have been loaded last time?

Was there any "HTYP" Load in between (this is what Ralf mentioned)?

    KR, Josef

That evening, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach support, I had to pull in my DBA who restored me back to the backup taken at 2PM that afternoon.

I attempted the initial load again yesterday, and had the same result. I contacted support and they advised me that -

"I've reviewed the log file you sent, and have found that this is a known issue with the version of the product that you are using. It's actually a problem with the uc-htyp cleanup not functioning, but has been fixed in 12.2.6. The defect is AE-22624 and has to do with the the fact that the table is not getting cleaned up as it should be and the entries for the agents are now missing from that table. Even though there is no license check, the entries still have to be there."

Be aware that if you are on version 12.2.0, and tables suddenly go missing from your DB, you may encounter this problem upon executing an initial load.
