    Hi Jon,

Is there any reason you are upgrading to 10.1 release?
This release is almost EOS (08/28/2019). https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/product-content/status/support-life-cycle/indexes/ca-spectrum-release-and-support-lifecycle-dates.html

Anyway, here is the workaround for the TEC1389105 article:

    1. Start Spectrum installation.

    2. Once installation reaches "Running Customization scripts" go to Windows Start->Control Panel->Programs and Features and verify that "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64)" installation exists.

    3. Go to Windows Task Manager and kill the "vc_redist.x64.exe".

Note: If you can't find the process "vc_redist.x64.exe". Please Wait for 5-10 minutes for the process to appear in process list.

    4. Kill the process.

    5. Spectrum installation will continue and succeed.
