    Hi All

We are implementing a Clarity PPM 15.5.1 system. The system is multi-currency. The System Currency is USD.

Is there any way we can change the system currency from USD to ZAR?

    Thanks
    Val

    Hi there, yes you can.

Navigate to ADMINISTRATION > FINANCE > SETUP
    Select Currency
And then choose the currency you need to activate. Take into account if you are SaaS or OnPremise, because you need to check the BackEnd Console if you are onPremise, then you can find the multicurrency option on PPM FrontEnd. And you see the option on the Entity you Create!

    Check the picture I attach!
    Cheers,
    Pablo

I believe that adds a currency so you can do foreign exchange rates, but does not change the system currency.  Once the system level currency is set you cannot change it.  You can override the system currency at the entity level which may mean you need to set up a new entity to use.

... and if you already have transactions in your system you are beyond hope.
It sounds like it is either a fresh install or to continue with a second currency and keep watching for having the preferred one everywhere.

    Hi Liz
Thanks, I think that is what I am going to do. It seems the safest solution.
One of my colleagues is testing changing the database field on an internal PPM implementation. If that goes well then we will do the same on the customer's Dev system.
    Kind regards

    Hey!
I dont know how advance is the configuration, you can create a new entity, as is explain below, if you are on SaaS, if you are onPremise...i think you can change it on the database...I will check with my team...

    Hi Pablo
I beieve that you can change the system currency on the database but it is not supported and needs to be thoroughly tested.

    Hi All

Just to update you. The DBA changed the system currency in the database. I have tested adding projects, programs and resources. So far so good. Thanks for all your input.

    Kind regards

What data did you have in the system prior to the change?
    Where exactly was it changed?
