URL_RESPONSE ALARMS

How to publish url_response alarms in the CA SPECTRUM SPM TEST module.  We need to generate the UIM monitoring alarm on the corresponding DEVICE URL, in the SPM TEST module of the CA SPECTRUM tool.

From the perspective of the url_response probe it is just another url to monitor and there is no specific integration for this. If the url to use for the url_response probe is unknown check with the spectrum team.

Alex, the question was asked in this group, because it is the UIM that points the target device through the field "Source Override".

If the question is on using the url_response source override to use the url, that is documented here:

Navigate to the Advanced tab to override the source of Alarm and QoS messages. If you do not enter a value in Source override field for Source used for Quality of Service, the robotname of system where probe is deployed is the QoS source. 
The following variables can be used in these fields:
$url: If $url is specified in Source override field, then $url is replaced by url of URL server in source fields of Alarms and QoS.

The documentation pointed out has already been consulted and applied; Where we are using the IP ADDRESS of the server hosting the Web page to receive the alarm next to the CA SPECTRUM.

However the best solution for us the alarm is received together with the same referenced in the SPM TEST.


Change the name of the profile in url_response to match what you want as the source and then use the previously referenced setting at the Advanced tab, or provide details which will enable more meaningful guidance.
