Defects page default view

The defects page, has certain columns showing whenever I open it or clear any saved view. That looks like the default view with the below columns:

A couple questions:
1. Is this the same default view for any Rally user?
2. I don't like this view as my default and want to change it e.g. rearrange columns, remove certain columns, add a couple etc. How do I go about making that change? (I don't want to save a view, I know how to use a saved view, I don't want that)

I have been able to drag column headers to re-order them and use the "show fields" button to add/remove columns.  Making those changes and then navigating away from the page does not remove that arrangement when I come back to that page.

I tried it out just now and it seems to retain the changes. But I'll try again Monday and see if it goes back.

Hello @Mitch Goldman,

I haven't able to follow up on this until now, but here's what I find.

The Defects page default view has some columns (let's call this view A). I rearrange, remove/add some columns in the hope that this will remain my default view forever (let's call this view B). 
It does, until I open another saved view (view C) and then "clear" that view. Then the original default view comes back (view A).
If I log off and login also, View A comes back.  

I don't see any way around for View B to be my default view forever.
