    Hi ,

Could you please help with the following queries regarding classifier pack in TDM Portal?

    1. Can we edit the in-built classifier pack? If so, how? where can we find the file?
    2. How to create a New Classifier pack? I checked techdocs, its showing zipfile should be imported. what should be there in the zipfiles?

    Thanks
    Rama

    Hi,

When classifiers are imported (including the defaults) the import file is stored in this location C:\ProgramData\CA\CA Test Data Manager Portal\classifiers . To edit a classifier copy the relevant import file and add the .zip extension. Extract the zip file and you can then edit the classifiers, when you have made the changes to the classifier zip up the folder structure and then import the zip file using the Configuration / Classifiers section of the portal.

A quick way to create new classifiers is to use import file zip file as a template. You will notice that when you view the classifiers in the portal they are in a folder structure, if you want to create additional folder structures you can create these in the zip file to be imported.  The screenshot is an example of an imported zip file which shows the folder structure and the corresponding .json classifiers

    Hi Rama,

You'll find a How-To guide and custom classifier example here

You may find that TDM portal is a bit fussy with the format of the .json file to import.    Please use the downloadable .json templates found on this page as your starting point.
