    Hi Akeel,

If you use the version downloaded from https://github.com/CA-APM/ca-apm-fieldpack-nginx you have to follow the instructions in the README.md.

If you want to use the version described in the 11.1 product documentation, you have to download it from APM SaaS. If you don't have an APM SaaS tenant you can request a trial via https://www.broadcom.com/info/enterprise/starter-edition-software.

You can also open a support ticket to request the APM Infrastructure agent (IA) with the latest nginx extension.

Please read my post above. If you are using the extensions from https://github.com/CA-APM/ca-apm-fieldpack-nginx you have to follow the instructions on https://github.com/CA-APM/ca-apm-fieldpack-nginx.

After reading the README.md file I have some questions.

So what I understand from the instruction that we have to configure NGNIX serve and install EPAgent on NGNIX server

Where is this convenient location in NGNIX server or where the APMIA agent will be running?

    Installation
Copy the index.js and param.json files to a convenient location.

    Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Akeel

    Hi Akeel,

Were you able to get your Infrastructure Agent and NGNIX server installed and running?

Are there any tips you can provide that we can add to the documentation?

Can some please define me what should be the values for NGNIX monitoring?

there is no definition written in doc.

    "atcconnection" : "http",        "atchost" : "<atcapi_host>",        "atcport" : <atcapi_port>,        "atctoken" : "<atc_token>",

    Hi Akeel,

What version of APM are you running? Or are you on APM SaaS?

    Hi Akeel,

NGINX Monitoring is not included with 10.7. However, I've contacted someone who will post here about how you can download NGINX Monitoring from the APM SaaS Agent Download Dialog area, then configure the agent to monitor in APM 10.7.

What you're telling the fieldpack is how to connect to your APM instance.

First, you need to generate a security token from Team Center > Security. Make this a public token that does not expire.

atcconnection: is your MOM or EM jetty configured to run HTTP or HTTPS?
atchost: the hostname of your MOM or EM
atcport: the jetty port for your MOM or EM
atctoken: the security token you generated from Team Center

    Hello,
I can't find an option when the nginx_status page has user/pass validation, is this supported?

    Hello  Akeel,

If you have SaaS instance you should actually tryout the latest NGINX extension, for more info read below documentation .
