    Hi All,

    Greetings..!

Could you please help me if there is any way to display a sample document file in CA Identity Portal form so that user can download the form, update the details and upload it. We have the file upload specified in the form and we want to display the sample document so that user can download it.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rajesh

The Deployment Xpress library has a use case (bulk create users) that does just that. You can use it as an example of how to do what you need.
The use case provides an attachment CSV file that shows the column headers (required attributes for user creation). The delegated admin then fills out the CSV file with users' records, uploads the file and submits it to the system for users creation.

    Hi Iyes Dendeni,

    Greetings..!

Thanks for your prompt response. The user case talks about the CSV file but we want to display a word document as a template file so that user can download it and upload the same file and submit the request. Please help us if anyone has done such scenario in the IAM tool.

Also can we specify a URL for any field in the CA Identity portal form? If yes then please specify the display type and server type I can use to specify the URL.

    Thanks,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,

You can use Property server type 'File' to upload file. For File type property, the default value can be set with the download file value to provide download option.

To specify URL, use 'Message' as display type and server type is internal. In options tab, you can use 'insert/edit link' to insert a URL as shown in the below picture.

    insert URL
