CA Spectrum - placing multiple models into maint mode via REST

Hi

I have a requirement to build a rest interface from our bespoke ticketing system into Spectrum to place Event models into maint mode

A server device in Spectrum could have a number of Event models 
eg Server1-diskcheck   , Server1-CPUcheck etc

So the interface needs to be able to deal with 
Where "model type = event model" AND "name contains Server1" place into maint mode , then, at the appropriate time, take the models out of maint mode
I am curious on how the community would set something like this up - I have only just started scratching the surface on the REST interface
