Clarity

    Dear members,

Am making a jaspersoft domain which uses the CA PPM bean as the data source and schema as clarity. Have to bring our own custom financial calculations , ootb benefit ,budget, cost details (group by fiscal year, transaction class, charge code, cost type), along with that task, status reports, change request details, some lookup values also.

Currently we are in SaaS platform with version as 15.8 and jaspersoft 7.1. Hence for bringing those details, need to create derived tables (instead of DB views) in custom domain and the joins. This is taking too long and am not getting submit button. Do we have any other workaround to nail it.

Moreover, jasper communities are saying derived tables will downgrade the performance. Could anyone can help us how the derived tables and join conditions are working in the background?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Regards,
    Agin

You can certainly have derived tables but using like 4-5 derive table will downgrade the performance as you said, did you try creating the studio report

    Thanks Suman.

We have more dynamic requests are coming in. Moreover, business knows how to use domains thats the reason to think about possibility of the domain.

Do we have any docs giving more info on domains?

    Regards,
    Agin

    understood thanks Agin

Based on my experience domains dont scale up, however as you requested for documentation we do have few along with Tibco providing few of them https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/business-management/clarity-project-and-portfolio-management-ppm-on-premise/15-9-3/advanced-reporting-with-jaspersoft/recommended-jaspersoft-training.html
