  • 1.  SQL connection terminated

    We have IM 12.6 SP5 working on JBOSS 6.3 EAP. Object store and other DBs are on MS SQL 2012. User store is on eTrust directory. CA IM databases are split within SQL server.

     

    IM and SQL server are on different hosts. Sometimes connection between them closed without any reasons and we need to restart JBOSS.

     

    On SQL server corresponding error is:

    Error: 7886, Severity: 20, State: 2.

    A read operation on a large object failed while sending data to the client. A common cause for this is if the application is running in READ UNCOMMITTED isolation level. This connection will be terminated.

    The same error is in two different IM implementations.

     

     

    Please assist.

    Hi Gutis

     

    Without jboss log etc, it is difficult to give you a proper answer.

    My suspicion is the JDBC connection pool settings.

     

    May be an idea to open up a support issue for this

    We already opened the support case. But since we have seen this error in our testlab and in clients test implementation I thought that this may be common problem and someone already found solution for this.

    Yes CA provided patch for us, but eventualy we have the new version, and it seems that the patch was not ported to it so we have to open case once again
