error : faulting module MSVCR80.dll

Hello everybody,

AlarmNotifier always disconnected.
i checked event logs and there are an error about this.
here is the error :

after this error, i reinstall the server and MLS again, but it still occurs.
Alarmnotifier works on MLS.


I have Distrubuted spectro servers. 1 MLS and 17 LS and 1 OC and each of them are in different servers.
OS of this servers: windows 2008 sp2 64bit.

Did you make any changes to the system recently? I assume you're running AlarmNotifier as a Processd ticket. Can you post AlarmNotifier configuration file?

'$SPECROOT/lib/SDPM/partlist/ALARMNOTIFIER.idb' should the one I'm referring to. That is, if you have the default installation of SPECTRUM.

Post also content of file identified in .idb with LOGNAMEPATH.

It looks like you are picking up a different version of the MSVCR80.dll than the one intended. This could happen as there may be multiple MSVCR80.dll files on your system. I believe the one you should be using for Spectrum is the one installed with Microsoft Visual C++ redistribution that we ship with Spectrum.

On my Windows Spectrum 09.02.01.H07 install, it is located in the C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.5592_none_d09196c24426e2d4\MSVCR80.dll The version is 8.0.50727.5592.

My version is 8.0.50727.6195
I Reinstall spectrum 9.2.1.07 but the initial version again is not same with you.
My initial was 8.0.50727.4053 but i had got the same error then i updated the microsoft visual c++ and then version changed to 8.0.50727.6195
So, what do you offer ?

I would recommend checking your patch to see if it might be picking up a different MSVCR80.dll from somewhere. For example, log into the machine as the user that owns the Spectrum installation. Launch a bash shell and enter "which MSVCR80.dll" from the command line to see if it returns one that is not the VC++ one.

How did you upgrade VC++?

There is a copy of VC++ on the Spectrum 9.2.0 install media in the nt/nttools/VS2005 directory. It can be installed by running "msiexec /i vcredist.msi". Maybe uninsall the current VC++ and installing the one from the 9.2 DVD?

I have read through the thread again. Is AlarmNotifier running OK on the MLS system and the larmNotifier you are having this issue with running on one of the DSS systems?

If yes, any particular reason for running an AlarmNotifier on the MLS and the other DSS system?

i will try to uninstall current VC++ and then i will install 9.2.0 VC++.

i hope, it will be ok.

i cannot run alarmnotifier on other SS because, alarmnotifer has be entegrated with other systems on MLS server.

If the dll file is missing or you are not able to find the solution that how to fix Msvcr80.dll   then you can solve this issue by click here and i am sure you will definitely fix the problem.
