    Bala,

DevTest puts no restrictions on installing the product on Linux or even Windows.  You would need read/write permissions on the DevTest HOME folder and any other folder where you would need to update files, like the bin folder for updating vmoptions files.

The restriction are decided by your Linux admin.  They may require you to sudo to a particular user to install.

    Hope this helps.

For Linux, I have no experience implementing 10.4. Ok, for base devtest, no sudo permisison needed. I was just wondering, also for the IAM component? No sudo needed?

    Cheers,

    Danny

    Danny,

Same applies to IAM since now it is included in the DevTest Server install.  The VS Catalog is still a separate component, but no sudu needed there unless the Linux Admin requires it.
