    Hi Praveena,

there can be many reasons why an SAP job is failing. Please provide the agent log file as well as the job report (at least ACT, REP and PLOG).

    thanks,
    Peter

    Hello,

If you have any problem with submission of R3 Jobs, against a SAP system, and you suspect a network problem, you should check the dev_jco_rfc.log.

This file is located in the bin folder of the SAP agent foder tree. It contains the RFC communication between Agent and SAP problem,

The RFC communication with a SAP system is ensured by the Java Connector. This is a component delivered by SAP.

All main RFC and CPIC information are logged by the JCO in the file dev_jco_rfc.log.

Communications problem, invalid user, locked user of conversation problems leave information in this file.

Problems related to a connection problem should be found there.

    Regards

    Hello @praveena Bingi,

I think you should have a working Agent before you can proceed to trigger test a background job.
Please check your logs and traces, the messages there can help determine the solution.

    HI Praveena,

When the submission of jobs goes over a SAP Agent, the tcp connection goes from the agent against the SAP system. Generally the tcp used in this case to connect a SAP system is 33<Instance Number> for single application server  and 36<Instance Number> for SAP system in load balancing mode.

Jobs that were submitted against a SAP system can be followed with the SM37 transaction in SAP. The tcp connectivity from SAP against the Automation Engine is relevant when the SAP CallAPI is implemented.
