  • 1.  WADE restart order (Manager/Agent)

    Hi all.
I want to restart (Cold start) WADE  because I have to restart the repository database after stopping for 30 minutes.
There are 5 agents. In this case, what is the order of stopping and starting the WADE Manager and the agent?

When this server actually has a registered Job, is the order below correct? Or is it wrong?

    1. Manager STOP
    2. agent STOP 1 thru 5
    3. DB Stop

    4. DB START
    5. agent START 1 thru 5
    6. Manager COLD Start
    7. schedule all events

Or is it only necessary to restart the Manager service without restarting the agent?

Also, how do we deal with tasks that were not performed during the 30 minute downtime after COLD START?

we don't restart agents or db when DE manager is having issues.  I would use a cold restart with caution.

    Hi,

Cold start of server is generally not needed if you have to restart DB. Any reason why you want to do cold start.
