AAI 6.4.1 is now available for download.

A list of fixes and features can be found in the Release Notes 6.4.1.

    Enhancements

This version of Automic Automation Intelligence includes the following enhancements:

    Universal Schedulers

As of this version, universal schedulers (Automic Automation, Control-M, and ESP) allow users to specify options to ignore the start of parent container runs when building jobstream runs. This allows jobstream runs to begin when meaningful work begins, and not when an outer parent, such as a JSCH object in Automic Automation, begins, avoiding long running jobstreams with little or no activity at the beginning.

    Connector Framework

The connector framework has been updated and now sets the logging to file parameter to off by default.

    IWS

Enhanced the RootCauseAnalyzer to correctly identify an NPTF jobstream run status and root cause even when there are circular dependencies in the IWS jobstream/job dependencies.

    Bug Fixes

The following issues have been fixed in this version:

    General

    • Fixed an issue that resulted in the stopsync option of the AAI application control scriptfailing to shutdown the AAI application correctly and not returning to the user.

      Associated ticket: DE508277

    • Resolved connection issues between AAI and eEM that prevented successful user logins across and after an eEM server failover.

      Associated ticket: DE508553

    • Fixed an issue with Simulation that prevented the proper user name from being displayed.

      Associated ticket: DE517395

    • Fixed the dialogue box for a successfully submitted Simulation so that it does not include an indication of Error.

      Associated ticket: DE517394

    AutoSys

Fixed an issue in the handling of a successful FORCE_STARTJOB event for a job that previously completed with a TERMINATED status.

    Associated ticket: DE514953

    CA7

    • Fixed an issue in the Converter process (job definitions) so that dataset creating conditions get properly saved in the AAI DB. The Converter must run for the change to take effect. The next Converter run (scheduled Service or Download Now) automatically removes any custom start times added to datasets that have dataset creating conditions.

      Associated ticket: DE502381

    • Fixed an XFKJawsCalendarJobCondition constraint violation that occurred during a Converter run.

      Associated ticket: DE519816

    Tidal

Improved the handling of job runstatus changes to Completed Normally to correctly wire job runs into jobstream runs and prevent erroneous alerts (i.e. Exceeded SLA).

    Associated ticket: DE517882

Database Schema Upgrade Summary from 6.4.0

There are no schema changes from 6.4.0.

    eEM

Important! If you have configured eEM and are updating your environment, make sure that you update the eEMdatabase defaults. You can do so by using the same process as the original add. For more information, see Identifying eEM-Enabled Instances in Automic Automation Intelligence.

This process retains the original eEM settings and applies only the new objects in the eEM application.
