PeopleSoft Plugins Support for PeopleTools

Our application team is in the process of upgrading from PeopleTools 8.54 to 8.58 (latest version). Majority of the jobs runs using Autosys.

We are running the PeopleSoft jobs using PeopleSoft adapters and is in the process of upgrading to PeopleSoft plugins.
Does anyone know, if the Peopletools version change to 8.58, do we need to do anything specifically OR will plugins take care of the jobs?

Sandeep,

We're in the process of certifying PeopleTools 8.58 support. I'm pretty certain we'll have to provide a patch for the adapter/plugin to work. We should know more shortly.

Our current ETA is no later than the 3rd week in July. Assuming there are no significant problems we expect to deliver support earlier.

There is a patch that is published on top of R12 PS agent that is compatible with Peopletools 8.58 recently.

Have couple of questions. We recently upgraded the agent to 11.4.0. Does that mean I still need to upgrade the agent to R12? Also, if we use PS plugins instead of adapters, does it matter, what version of PeopleTools we migrate to? Do we still need to apply patch?   Regards, Sandeep

Hi,

Yes , the support for PT 8.58 is provided on top of R12 agent . So you will need to upgrade to R12.0 release if you want to use PT 8.58

We are planned to upgrade PeopleTools from 8.57 to 8.59 version by mid Oct. Can you let us know when it will be certified with autosys agent?

Hi,

As you know the on premise installs for PeopleTools 8.59 is available from July last week. We have plans to work on the certification in the next 3 months. 
Once it is certified we will update the PeopleSoft product documentation.
