    Hi John,

I tried installing WCC with Oracle 19C, but unfortunately getting below error. Kindly check with Broadcom before installation.

The version <19.0.0.0.0> of the oracle database for WCC DB was not supported at the time the application was released.

    Thanks,

    Hello Nitin,

Case has been raised to Broadcom support, is there any workaround which I can check from my end.

    Thanks,
    Rajesh Kalidasan

I think there is a workaround for that message but I am not recalling it at the moment...

I had the wrong media – when I downloaded the newer version of the media – the install went through.

    Hello Rajesh,

Which version of AutoSys you are using ? AutoSys r11.3.6 SP8 and above supports Oracle 19c.

We tried it internally and did not face any error on the supported versions. You should be facing any issue and support should be able to help you move forward.

    Hi Nitin,
WCC 11.4 SP7 installation is looping through the WCC DB questions over and over with the following message about Oracle 19c not being compatible despite choosing to 'Continue with the installation' (Option 2). Is this a known issue?

    WCC installation error

    Hello Chandrasekaran,

Oracle 19c was not supported when we released WCC 11.4 SP7 hence this warning message but later on we certified Oracle 19c with WCC r11.4 SP7 and it worked fine.

Are you unable to move forward if you choose Option 2. If this is the case then raise an issue and we will review the problem.

    Hi Nitin,
Case#32291354 already with CA Support. I guess they're triaging my case as per scrum/agile methodology, eventually I might hear from them.

For the benefit of the user community, the issue is because of a known problem with Oracle JDBC driver ojdbc7.jar (Oracle Doc ID 731983.1) when encrypted connection is used. It is fixed in the latest JDBC drive ojdbc8.jar, however because WCC 11.4 SP7 installer is compiled with an older ojdbc7.jar file, we could not get it to work with Oracle 19c. We moved on with Oracle 12c. CA Support advised us to install WCC r12 instead which ships with Oracle JDBC driver ojdbc8.jar.
