AEWS Get complete job definition

  • 1.  AEWS Get complete job definition

    Hi -
Isn't there a GET method in AEWS to retrieve the complete job definition (autorep -Jq <job%> equivalent)?
Existing jobname, job, job-run-info, job-dependencies, all appear to just give the status and type of the job?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Chandru Venkataraman

There isn't currently a way to get the complete job definition. This will be available in the 12.0 release expected to be GA in the next few months.

    Hi Dan,
Thanks! Are there plans to make job/machine/calendar insert/update/delete available in AEWS?

    Best regards,

    Steve,

I suspect the reason the web service is preferred is because they don't need to deploy/maintain CLIs and is platform independent.

The AutoSys 12.0 HTTP job type implementation does support a destination file.

I use the CLI, prevents having to know an id/pass

But I do understand the use cases
