  • 1.  False Info Provided with JavaScripts

    Posted Aug 15, 2017 10:18 PM

We are experiencing a little bit of an annoyance in our prod environment. There are 2 specific JavaScripts tied to events that do exist but whenever you save the event with the JavaScript tied to it, we get a message of no definition available even though it is defined to the repository. Deleting the javascript from the repository and adding it back does not fix the issue, we have to delete the event and add it back to stop receiving the message.

The event still simulates fine and triggers fine, it's just a annoyance being it is providing false info. Has anyone else had this same problem? We are on 11.3.3 of dseries.

UPDATE....the issue seems to be resolved also when the JavaScript is deleted from the event and added back but with the name of the JavaScript in all CAPS. Example, EAM_AAC_Global_ApplicationSupport_R3_ET is a defined JavaScript (mixed character case) that was producing a message but if it was removed and added back as

EAM_AAC_GLOBAL_APPLICATIONSUPPORT_R3_ET (all caps) the message goes away.

The issue I guess seems to stem from the fact that the scripts in the dropdown box on the event level are in all caps while they are defined in the repository as mixed case. This still is a bit of an annoyance because they are defined as mixed case, why would the list from the drop down box automatically caps the name? Because of this we get that message. Again, not causing any problems just false information
