Agent Linux 32-bit SAP plugin instantiation failed

Hi, i have a problem with the sap plugin.

I installed the agent for linux:

CA Workload Automation Agent

   for LINUX (Intel) 32-bit

   Version R11.3, Service Pack 4, Maintenance Level 0, Build 717

and after that i installed the SAP plugin.

If i try to start the agent without the plugin it's OK, but when i try with the plugin the service return this error:

Usually this is due to missing SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) on the System Agent

 

This SAP connector is not installed by the plugin installer.

 

These steps are documented In the System Agent Implementation guide  (CA Workload Automation Agents - 11.3.4

See page 335

Install the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo)

For the agent to communicate with an SAP system, you must install the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo)

package.

Notes:

The required minimum version is SAP JCo 3.0.x

Whether you use the 32-bit or 64-bit JCo version depends on the JVM provided with the agent.

 

For Windows systems, you require the msvsr71.dll and msvcp71.dll files. You must add these

files to the agent installation directory.

 

 

If these steps have been done and you are still getting the same problem, I would suggest to open a CA support ticket

Maybe the manual will be corrected some time . The files needed for windows are msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll.

Hi Jean, i installed the JCo under "/installagentpath/jre/SAPJCo/". I add that path into LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the cybAgent startup scritp, i also add the path of "sapjco3.jar" in the CLASSPATH enviroment variable. When i try to start the service seems like the JCo is not installed, the error is the same.

Any advice?

Have you tried placing the sapjco3-jarfile in the default-directory .../jars/ext ? Or is that not an option at your site?
