Hello,

I have been trying to export data using the custom list with deep export app but all of the data is not being downloaded into the CSV file.  What can I do to ensure everything is downloaded? Do I need to do some type of reset/refresh?

Hi @Maria Keeton,

The app only exports the fields that are shown in the grid. The grid also has some limitations on which (and how) fields can be shown.

The grid layout is usually stored as a preference so that it remembers what you last looked at. To delete the stored preference, the  best way is to delete the custom page and remake it.

Can you describe in more detail the problem you are seeing if it is not related to what I have mentioned above?​

Hi @Nik Antonelli,

Here's an example.  The report is showing 80 projects, but the in the CSV file, there are only 60 listed.  I also tried to export themes, but the CSV  file was blank.  Nothing was there.

We are experiencing something similar.  Any of our custom views on the Work Views page are exporting empty CSV files.  The Rally application returns data on screen but does not export the returned data set.   We have tried several browsers, clearing cache, logging out and back in, nothing seems to help.  It will export data to CSV if we are exporting from custom views on the User Story, Task or Test Case pages.  It even works from the Work Views page without a custom view.

Hmmm, that is curious. They are two completely different codebases apart from the bit that parses the artefact field contents (to make a CSV field).

Does it fail on the same project every time? Is there something special about the contents of the fields that you are trying to export?

Certain character strings are known to cause the 'escaping' of fielddata to fail.

My users also having issues with Excel export today. We are using #3 - the builtin Work Views/User Stories - and receiving blank excel extracts.​
