What happened to the Objectives field for Test Cases

I just created a new test case and there is not an Objectives field. In fact, when I open an existing Test Case where I know that I had objectives, they are missing!

Hi Karen,
Objective isn't a standard field on Test Cases in Rally.  
So I'm assuming it's a custom field, unique to your organization.
Here's some potential reasons why you might not see it:

• Most views in Rally have the ability to select fields to view.  Make sure you have selected the Objectives field to show in that view. Icons include:
  
  • 
  • 
• If you find the field from the icons above, and it's selected, maybe the field got moved or shifted to lower/ further-right on the screen.  Check by scrolling down or right through the whole window.  
• But if you can't even see the field to select it, check with one of your Rally admins to see if they changed the field.   They could've changed the name or the visibility...
  
  • If they say nothing has changed.... open a Support Case so we can investigate further.

I don't understand how it is not a standard field. This is from the Rally documentation:

I am the workspace admin... nothing has changed with the setting.   And, until today, I have been using that field.  I have lost all the information that was in hundreds of test cases!

Kudos to you Karen!  You are right! 

My instance is also not able to see the Objectives field.
We are looking into this on our side.  Sorry for the confusion.  Stay tuned....

Hi Karen,
Here's a workaround we found.  For test cases in a list view, you can add that column and in-line edit the field from the list.  Not so easy to use,  but useable.
We continue to check into why Objective doesn't show on edit pages.  May ask you to open a case so we can track.

We are impacted by this as well. A ticket was raised and a defect raised by the Rally team. The workaround Cali found I had discovered as well and works. All of your data "should" have remained intact.

Agree that the workaround is a temporary solution, but I not having the objective severely impacts my ability to create new test cases. I hope this gets resolved soon.

Also had one of our users report this Thursday. WTH, Rally team, do you even regression test your own app? 

I noted that if you show the Objective field in  a collections page list-view (e.g. Test Cases), clicking the field opens a full RTF text editor in place. So this is a workaround, but a troublesome one for people who perhaps open up multiple test cases in Edit Details/QDP view.
