Revision history not showing complete change

So I've noticed recently that changes in our US description get abbreviated and it's not possible to see what was changed.  Kind of defeats the whole purpose as now I can't tell what the description used to say versus what it says now.  When did this go away?

 

For example, all I see for this one US is:

DESCRIPTION changed [
... s. %0A%0A UI:%0A%0A%0A 'Add Phones' button should be as per design. %0A %0A%0AFunction...
]

 

 

There was a whole lot more there before, now all gone, can't see what it was.

The revision history has never captured changes to the Description or Notes fields (rich-text fields) if the previous value was too long for what is stored in the Revision History.  Unfortunately if the the description is too long to display in the Revision History, there is currently not another way to recover it.  There are a couple of Feature Requests on https://ideas.rallydev.com, either https://ideas.rallydev.com/ideas/D783 or https://ideas.rallydev.com/ideas/D939, 

but if these don't fit what you would like, I would recommend posting your own and you may link it back here to provide visibility to it.

So I wonder if I've come across a bug then?  Because the neither message " value too long to display" nor message "and more ..." was not displayed in this revision.  Only the text I shared above.
