Does the JIRA Rest connector support Jira 7?

  • 1.  Does the JIRA Rest connector support Jira 7?

    The supported versions on the connector page mention JIRA versions 5.2 and 6.0.

    The latest version of Jira is now 7.0.4, will the connector still work?

    It appears that with the Jira 7 release they removed this option as stated: "SOAP and XML-RPC APIs removed" here:

    It would be nice to have an official answer though from a CA technical person.

    In chatting with Rally directly, it sounds like they are starting testing to get the connector certified against 7.

    Robin,

    Is there a connector in development now?     I was hoping someone on the CA end would post more details as to if/when/what of a working connector for Jira 7 which is not based on XML-RPC.    I am also going to bring this up with our Success Program folks to see if we can get a push.   Thanks for your updates.

    Robin, you are correct.  We are working to see how close we are to supporting Jira 7 with our existing connector.  Depending on findings, it very well might slip into Q2 to deploy into the ecosystem, as our development cycles this quarter are extremely band-width limited.

    Earlier this month they informed me the work hadn't been planned yet, so there was no ETA at that point.

    I also received an update as follows on April 29th:  
    "...we are focused on HPQC this quarter, and right now JIRA 7 is next in line after that, so I don't have an exact time to give at this moment, but it's on our radar. "

    Drew- Has the connector been certified to work with JiRA 7.0X?
