Can I start a job with an email

We are investigating the use of Rally for existing projects and one of the concerns is that we will not have enough licenses for everyone who wants to submit an idea for a job or see what is happening on a current job.  Is it possible to submit job ideas or other information to existing jobs via email, and are there any work arounds for this issue. Hey @Michael Grumbach, thanks for the great question!  While there's no way to post a new User Story via email to Agile Central, it sounds more like you're looking for an #[Idea Manager] that integrates well.  Check this out: https://www.rallydev.com/product-feature/idea-management-0 Rally Idea Manager (Agile Central Idea Manager) integrates with Agile Central so that Product Managers can upgrade ideas posted there to User Stories in Agile Central.   It's a separate site that can have a different user base than Agile Central -- so wouldn't be tied to Agile Central seats -- and could be open to a wider group.   You might take a look into that option!

@Michael Grumbach, several of our teams have created lightweight apps for creating work items in Agile Central from email via the Web Service API, but updating an existing work item is a whole other layer of complexity. I will tell you that we've had Agile Central Technical Services create some integration apps for us to handle full-blown bi-directional sync to things like our Netsuite CRM system and they've been quick and reasonably priced. That said, if you can live without updating existing work items via integration then Idea Manager is extremely easy to use as your "funnel".
