Siteminder 12.5x to 12.8 upgrade parallel

​Hello Experts,

Hope all are doing Good.

I have plan to parallel upgrade siteminder policy server

I have policy server ready but not new SQL Server.

Can we install SSO 12.8 on new win 2016 server pointing to existing policy store 2008R2 for now. Once SQL 2016 is ready. I will point to new server?

Hi Sneha,

Yes, you can install 12.8x on Windows 2016.  I don't know which version of SQL is your current policy store, but the 12.8x Policy Server supports SQL 2012 and newer, so as long as your current policy store is on SQL 2012 or newer, you can use that database for 12.8x.  The latest 12.8 release is 12.8 SP3 (12.8.3) and I recommend you go with that release if possible.

Our Current sql version is 2012. I will go through the steps

I have installed Site Minder Web Agent 12.52 CR08(20265298) on win 2016 server. when we hit our URL https://insight.premera.com – the address bar would change to

Please help me here
