Whether you are using the Web Agent Option Pack or the Federation Gateway in Access Gateway, there are two logs for the federation front end: affwebserv.log (error log) and FWSTrace.log (trace log). Both are configured via the LoggerConfig.properties file. Please check this link for details (the affwebseerv.log is not mentioned on this page, but as noted above, is configured via the same LoggerConfig.properties file as the FWSTrace.log):
