    hi,

    I am trying to upgrade the CA SPS instance from 12.52 to 12.8 and try to uninstall after the upgrade as it was not registered correctly with the policy server.

    It was not allowing me to uninstall so deleted manually the installer location path but when trying to reinstall, it is throwing the below error.

    <
    Missing Instance Information!
    -----------------------------

    CA Access Gateway instance already exists on this machine but the instance is
    not detectable because the
    //opt/app/CA/secure-proxy/sps2/CA/SiteMinder_Secure_Proxy location is empty.
    The upgrade cannot continue. To resolve the issue, see the documentation.

    Can you please provide your guidance on where to delete the existing registry configuration as I gave the same installer location for the registry as well?

    Thanks,
    Kavin

    Hi Kavin,
    First of all direct upgrade from AG 12.52 to 12.8 works well, just stop AG, start installation, answer to all question ...

    But you have damaged current installation, so you have clean your file system as it was before 12.52.installation.
    1. remove directory /opt/etc/CA
    2. check if exist file .com.zerog.registry.xml - remove it if any

    then try to install again.
