    Hi Sasikumar,

    Legacy and Partnership federation configurations accomplish the same thing, but as the name implies, Legacy Federation is the older model and mostly exists in current releases for seamless upgrades in environments where Legacy Federation is still in use.  For new implementations, you will want to use Partnership Federation.
