Tech Tip : CA Single Sign-On : Policy Server log filling up

    Issue:

     

    We're running a Policy Server, and we see the traces filled up with
    permanently log lines like :

     

    [03/06/2019][05:12:25.368][05:12:25][24380][3707214704][CSmDbConnection.cpp:241]
    [CSmDbConnection::ReleaseReference][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][Release
    connection reference. ReferenceCount = '5']

     

    We'd like to know why Policy Server writes so many entries and

    how to configure the Profiler to get rid of these lines.

     

    Resolution:

     

    At first glance, the Policy Server writes these lines when it
    removes references to unused connections.

    You will be able to remove these lines by configuring the Profiler
    template and remove the following component :

     

    ODBC/Connection_Management
