    Hi,

I am trying to change the smaccess.log file time stamps from local to GMT time.

Ran XPSConfig and selecting SM and then choosing option 100 to change LogLocalTime

But when selecting option C to change from TRUE to FALSE I am getting error and value is not changing.

    I tried this on

    [4136/4140][Thu Jun 15 2017 17:19:01][CServer.cpp:4069][INFO][sm-Server-03550] Version: 12.7; Update: 00.00; Build: 1194; CR: 00;

    getting same error

    Enter Option (C, or Q): c

    Invalid Value

log file records, as opposed to GMT.

Not sure what OS you are using but if Unix based, you can do this:

    stop the policy server

    cd {SM_HOME}/registry

    vi sm.registry

    search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion\LogConfig

    Look for entry LogLocalTime

    change 0x1 to 0x0

    save/exit

    start policy server.

    If Windows, this wouldn't apply.

Thanks Samatnys, I am running WIndows 2008 OS, I tried to change the registry entry rebooted the server but still getting the logs in LocalTimestamp not in GMT format. So I think something is missing here

    Hi Richard,

I have tested the same use in my lab. It is a defect in the product and have reported the same to engineering.

    Thanks,

    Sharan
